Remember my current work in progress is the wonky quilt-as-you-go Log Cabin. I showed you my progress in the last Post, as of today though, I have now made enough blocks for a baby quilt as contemplated. The quilt top is completely pieced and while I tried to choose an arrangement that best showcases the blocks, In the end I decided to go with the flow.
With the top now completed, it is time to look for a backing fabric. In the spirit of improvising though, I might make a pieced backing from the left over fabrics from piecing the top.

Now it’s time for that horrific part of the quilting process…Basting! If you have been following my Quilting process series then you know the next post should be about basting and quilting but for the life of me I can’t come up with a strategy for that post. I’m worried it will be such a lamentation that might scare a fellow beginner quilter to death and we definitely don’t want that *gasps*!Read more: I’ve moved on!
