I wish you a Merry Quilt Along: Block Reveal

OK it’s finally here! I’ve been itching to reveal my block for the I wish you a Merry Quilt Along party! When the ladies from the 2017 New Quilt Bloggers group mentioned they were planning this QAL, I jumped at the opportunity to at least design a block even if I couldn’t host the QAL. As soon as I found out a Christmas theme was chosen, I thought of what Christmas reminds me of and for me there are no snows, Santa or Angels. However, It’s a time of giving and I decided to play around with the idea of Christmas presents. After a couple of failed attempts, I present to you with love at Christmas this set of gift boxes!

I’ve included a pattern with all the fabric requirements, cutting instructions and a well illustrated step by step instruction to create your own block.

Warning: piecing the top diagonal ribbon is a bit trying but never mind, I have also included an easier applique method.
