I know it’s already a couple of days gone in the new year but it’s not too late to wish you a happy new year. Wow what a year 2017 was. The year started on a great note with lots of hope and promises. I recall my first post from 2017 where I listed my key words as consistency and discipline with all intention of keeping to them. I did try to be consistent and disciplined especially in my quilting and blogging but life literally happened.
Like every other year, 2017 had its own plans for me. I kept on as much as I could with my quilting but I couldn’t hang on to sharing it all with you. My head wasn’t in the right place to keep it all together and with all the ups and downs in my personal life something had to give hence my obvious absence from the blogosphere.
It’s not all gloomy I must say, I made some special quilts in the year. Participated in a couple of amazing blog hops and made new friends along the way. I enjoyed a lovely challenge designing my block for the I wish you a merry quilt along QAL. Most importantly, the year couldn’t have ended on a better note with the birth of my son on the 10th of December (I’m now a Mama y’all😀)! In all, while things might not have worked as planned, I do have a lot to be grateful for.
Looking at the blog and some of my previous posts made me realize how much I’ve missed sharing. While I do have my hands full right now, I also would love to do this and to that effect, I intend to take it one day at a time and jump back in every now and then as much as possible.
On that note, here’s welcoming you again to 2018. No special key words or resolutions…I just want to keep it all together and succeed in my endeavours so help me God. Here’s wishing you a beautiful and prosperous 2018 with lots of quilty pleasures and fulfilment.
Cheers to an amazing year in advance and I look forward to catching up with you soon. As always, thanks for stopping by!
