B is for Baby – Another Throwback Thursday

Recall that in my intro post this year, I apologized for being away too long, gave my reasons and mentioned the quilts I made last year but was unable to share.

Well if you follow me on Instagram you would have seen the few I recently posted. Of course they are mostly baby quilts…remember those Disney panels I’ve had like forever? I did manage to make a few more of those which I intend to share with you in this post.

So here goes…

Someone said to me that it’ll be such a crime if my baby doesn’t have a quilt… well duh! he most definitely will have abundance of quilts 😀. While I already knew he was getting some of the Disney quilts, I wanted to make him something extra special. Hence I decided to make him a quilt using a pattern I designed. Remember the Diamond Fusion block I created for the cloud 9 new quilt design blog hop back in 2016? It seemed like the best idea giving that I already had the perfect backing fabric.

I started out with that block but somewhere in the process I digressed. This led to another spin on the block which I absolutely love.  Hopefully I get to write a pattern for it as soon as I can manage it.

I did enjoy making that quilt and it certainly deserves its own post about the process and how I ended up with the new pattern. In the meantime, here is what that quilt looks like:

Can you tell my baby is having the best of times on this quilt with his special pillow made by none other than yours truly 😀?

What have you been up to? I’m not doing a lot of sewing right now but I’m taking time to improve my quilt block design and pattern writing skills. As usual I hope to have something to share with you soon.

In the meantime, thanks for stopping by and let me know what you think about the possibility of a pattern for this quilt.
